Monster n' Me: Featuring Wes Watkins, Carrie Jennings & Thomas Jennings

Manos Sagrados

Fresh off their March run through the Pacific Northwest, the powerhouse trio of Wes Watkins, Carrie Jennings, and Thomas Jennings are bringing the Monster’n Me Tour to Colorado and beyond.

Monster’n Me showcases distinct yet interconnected sets of original music from Jennings and Watkins, anchored by a shared band. Carrie and Wes fuse their dual trumpet prowess with a sound that blends Folk, '60s Soul & Funk, Jazz, and Americana, crafting an immersive and evocative musical experience.

From March 6th to 22nd, the trio carried their unique sound and introspective storytelling across the Pacific Northwest—making stops in Tacoma, Arlington, Olympia, Seaview, Eugene, Roseburg, Portland, Trout Lake, Bellingham, Brinnon, Quilcene, and Seattle, including an artist residency at the Sou’wester. Rooted in themes of confronting the monsters within and around us, the tour explores the tension between human and beast, light and shadow, fear and acceptance—through soulful melodies and poignant lyrics.

Now, they’re gearing up for the next leg of the journey, with stops already confirmed in Trinidad, Denver, Aurora, Colorado Springs, and more— with additional dates in the works.

We all grow up wondering about the monster under the bed, the shadow in the window, or the skeletons in the closet. Are they friends or foes? Are they always there, or is there some transdimensional portal to their home nearby? Do they have families? Do they sing, dance, and cry like us? Are they here to hurt us? And maybe, most importantly: Am I the monster? This March, Wes & Carrie embark on a journey with a shared quartet to explore these questions through song, story, and connection. Featuring their dual trumpet talents, they deliver a soundscape that blends Folk, 1960s Soul, Jazz, and Americana, offering a rich and evocative musical journey.
